SMRTNET for Private Practices was developed to facilitate access to and retrieval of clinical data securely across disparate medical organizations to provide safer, efficient, effective, equitable, patient-centered health care.

With rising healthcare costs and numerous challenges to improving patient care the need for seamless clinical data in an accessible format is more critical than ever. SMRTNET offers numerous benefits to Private Practices looking to join a Health Information Exchange.

Health Information Exchange Data

An effective health information exchange includes patient data from encounters which include multiple specialties. SMRTNET member data comes from multiple medical specialties covering the primary care disciplines (primary care, pediatrics, OB/Gyn, Internal Medicine) and also includes.

• SMRTNET has an established database with over 2 million existing patient records within the HIE. 
• Each patient record can have multiple encounters from different medical organizations. SMRTNET currently has over 700 million patient records as a part of the HIE.

Will SMRTNET interface with our current EMR/EHR system?

With Cerner as our technology partner we have developed interfaces with over 16 different EMR/EHR systems. So, if your practice has already adopted an electronic health records system chances are we can interface with it.

Becoming a Member

Data Integrity and Security is of utmost importance to us. SMRTNET follows a process which requires us to verify each practice and also provide private practices with an online account to initiate the steps to register for membership with SMRTNET.
